Germany helps Laos upgrade road
Vientiane (VNA) - Laos and Germany on Feb. 16 signed an agreement, whereby Germany will provide Laos with an additional 4 million euros to upgrade Highway No.6 in the second phase of the project.
The first phase of the project, which connects Huaphan province, in northern Laos, with Viet Nam, received 15.5 million USD in German grants.
The second phase, scheduled for completion in mid-2007, will upgrade the 93-km section from Muongkham to Phulau and another 28 km section from Samnua to Viengsay.
