Laos hands over American servicemenfs remains to US

Vientiane (VNA) - Lao Deputy Foreign Minister Phongsavath Boupha passed the remains of some American servicemen who were killed during the war in Laos to US Ambassador Patricia M. Haslach at the Vattay international airport in Vientiane on August 1.
The remains were found during a recent search in Muongpec district, northern Xiengkhouang province.
The hand-over reflected Laosfs consistent humanitarian policy toward the families of US servicemen who were killed or listed as missing in action during the war in Laos and the country's cooperation with the United States.
Since 1985, Laos has returned 197 sets of remains to the US.--Enditem
