So its the 30th anniversary of the LPDR. Has Laos really improve so much after the revolution? Are the lives and well being of the people of laos so much better under the hammer and siclke? The socialist revolution was an waste of lives and energy. Any attempts to build socialism in Laos did nothing for the economy, made Laos more backwards, and wrecked a fledging modern education system. The only "developements" only occur after the LPDR, step by step, put back capitalist policies and practices which were already in action under the RLG. And with each step it further dramatized the pointlessness of the revolution. Remember Lan Xang Hom Khao was not build by a bunch of push-overs. For more than 600 yrs our ancestors secure an home and a place in history for us. But it only took 30 yrs for a couple of bad apples to ruin the lives of millions. Our parents fled with danger on their heels-so u can have a better life. So don't make their sacrifices go in vain. "surpass today, what you were yesterday"

Comparing to 1975 and before that, I think Lao improve a lot especially in the big cities. People in the big cities are more convenience in daily life. However, comparing to the big cities, people in the rural area maybe less convenience than people in the big cities. But, it is still good if compare to the past that people in the rural area can settle down and begining to improve their life. Lao government also try their best with limited facilities. Lao will develop step by step, slow but surely safe.
I will like to encourage Lao people to use more Lao products even their quality are poor. Remember that first Japanese products like Toyota, Honda, Sony, were also poor in quality too. If we use Lao products, Lao producers will have a chance to improve their product quality.
Love you all Lao people, please support Lao products

I disagree after 30 yrs of so called " progress" its still one of the ten poorest countries in the world. Also i think the only real "lao product" is beerlao, other than that i don't think theirs much. Face it the LPDR is a disater. The revolution was a waste of time, lives, and money-nothing came good out of it. So u got new TV's and some new buildings in Vientian and Luang Prabhang-but the rest of Laos is still in the fuedal age. I think it took Japan to go from a fuedal nation to a modern country in lest time than 30 yrs. And for ur infromation Lan Xang was never a puppet government like ur precious LPDR. Next time do some research on Laos before u write anything-(it makes u look stupid)
