I just got done reading this book called "Prince Phetsarath " iron man of Laos". To me he is one of the greatest Lao to ever lived. I was wondering if anyone know if any of his decendant is alive today. In the book it tells the names of his children but nothing more. In my opinion we Lao should see the late prince as a great example how to conduct ourselves. Everything he did, he did for our motherland.

Oh, stop all those prince and royal family crab. sure that when you read from the book it is always gonna be good, depending on who wrote that book. but as I know, all the royal family are weak that's why laos are like today. We have weak economy, all the education systems are weak because when we still have king as the leaders of the coutry they did nothing, but tried to make them self as happy as they can. they did not really take care of the coutry and people at all. maybe you have never heard of a prince name Boun-Oum. go back to ask your dad and your mom about him. they will tell you what are theses people do to laos. thank you.

:)Use the bad history as your motivation, use good history as your to for better improving by improving its self. Bad or good, there is no blame to no one. Show your greatest and strength if you think you have one. There should be a good means, that why people had put down in the book...good luck to you...

Sure, things didn't turn out better. But Prince Phetsarath did a great given the cercumstances at the time. Lao had just gotten out of thai controll after 170+yrs, then the french tokeover, then the japanese, then we fight among overselves.I believe in giving credit where it's due. It's easy to cast teh blame on others-sure some leaders fail the lao people, but at the same time the lao people fail also fail them.
