Vientiane (VNA) – The northern Lao province of Xiengkhoang has opened to traffic a bridge that was built at a cost of 5 million USD and was funded by Viet Nam. The bridge is in the border area of Namcan on Highway 7, which connects this province to Viet Nam’s Nghe An province. The 30-tonne bridge, construction of which began in 2001, is part of a larger project, which also includes a two-storey administrative building for the border immigration authorities. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Xiengkhoang Governor Sivon Dadongdia and Vice Chairman of the Nghe An People’s Committee Nguyen Van Hanh.-Enditem Source: www.vnagency.com.vn/NewsA.asp?LANGUAGE_ID=2&CATEGORY_ID=33&NEWS_ID=145459laoupdate.com ;D
