Sethathirat Hospital officially handed over to Lao University
FROM today onwards, Setthatirat Hospital officially comes under the charge of the Education Ministry.
This is in compliance with the agreement of the Prime Minister dated 15 September 2004. Then, the Ministry of Health had agreed to hand over Sethathirat Hospital to the Ministry of Education this year.
The handover ceremony, held on 12 April, was witnessed by Mr Bounchanh Sinthavong, Vientiane capitalĀfs Deputy Governor, Mr Somkot Manormek, Dean of National University of Laos, as well as representatives from the healthcare sector.
Sethathirat Hospital is located in Donekoy village of Sisattanak district. Over the years, it has served the needs of the nation well, providing basic healthcare for the public and training for doctors and nurses.
