Vietnam' U-21 football squad won a bronze medal at the ASEAN Youth Football Championship which took place Mar. 12 E26 in Brunei, reported sports authorities Mar. 23.

The tournament, also called Hassanal Bolkiah Cup, saw Wednesday four best teams competing at its semi-finals with results of Vietnam’s 2-0 defeat by Myanmar and Thailand’s 3-2 victory over Laos.
With the tournament regulations defining to award one gold, one silver and two bronze medals, Vietnam and Laos got bronze medals and a cash prize of 4,000 USD for each.
Two winners Thailand and Myanmar will meet in the final match on Mar. 25. The tournament’s champion will receive 16,000 USD and first runner-up with 8,000 USD.
