More investment licences issued THE Government has issued 81 investment licences over the past six months, a 150 percent increase compared to the same period last year, announced Deputy Prime Minister Thongloune Sisoulith, who is also President of Planning and Investment, recently. The total investment of these business units amounted to USD 186.7 million. Vietnamese investment came in top, amounting to some USD 64.7 million. Australia follows closely at USD 44.7 million, and the Republic of China came in third at USD 39.5 million investment dollar. More than 50 percent of the money is sunk into the mine sector, followed closely by the Agriculture and Forestry sector. While majority of the projects is administered at the central level, the rest are spread out in provinces nationwide. Mr Thongloune attributed this positive investment outlook to the governmentfs bill to improve conditions for investors and its open door policies. It is hoped that more foreign investments will help stimulate the domestic economy and benefit the general public. Source: kplnet.net ;D Photo: www.travelog.jp/userdata/beerlao/album/1/FILES/11.jpg

Most of the peoples complaint ed and want the country-stop Vietnamese influence. Most of you live in the third world. You all should open your eyes yourself? In the US and elsewhere in Europe are all have foreign countries come in open business. If you dint want other nationalities influence then you should go back to Laos. Don't just complaint ed and complaint ed. You should go home open business. That way you wont be able to complainted......

This is too low comparing to our neigboring country, let say Cambodia. In 2007 it received over one billion dollars of inverstment from china alone, not counting Korea and other countries. Vietnamese investors were at the bottom line.

To those who do not read history book well.
Dont forget that our ******** government was set up by Vietnamese governemtn untill now, there has neen no change at all. You could go to google and search about it.
I strongly support all FDI, but we have to get fully independent in order to control our own benefits by our self.
As evident, u can see alot of rich man in our country is Vietnamese. So please do more reading, because when i travel abraod I talk with some foreigners, they event uderstand this war history.
