Malaysians To Explore Coal, Tin Mining Prospects In Vietnam And Laos
KUCHING, Nov 6 (Bernama) -- Natural Resources and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Adenan Satem will lead a Malaysian delegation to Vietnam and Laos from Nov 8-16 to explore investment prospects in coal and tin mining.
He said the Malaysian investors hoped to sign several memoranda of understanding with their partners in the two countries by year-end.
The collaboration might be expanded to include joint venture partners in other Asean countries like Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar and the Philippines in the near future, he told reporters at his Hari Raya open house at Santubong-Damai near here.
He said the delegation will include senior officers of the ministry besides representatives of the mining industry and entrepreneurs.
