Vientiane (VNA) - Delegates from ten ASEAN member countries have gathered in Vientiane for a three-day scientific and technological cooperation conference, which opened on April 20.
The conference, the 49th of its kind, took a fresh look at scientific and technological cooperation among member countries over the past six months and discussed matters related to biotechnology and space technology.
The participants also exchanged views on the application of food technology and information technology, as well as the development of new energy resources, infrastructure and human resources, according to the ASEAN sub-committee for scientific-technical cooperation, which convened the conference.
This is a preparatory conference for the seventh meeting of ASEAN ministers of science and technology due to take place in Indonesia this August, the sub-committee said.-Enditem
