Vietnam helps Laos upgrade high-speed Internet access
A Vietnamese company has recently agreed to coordinate with Laos in upgrading its high-speed Internet channel as part of Laosf telecommunications development program.
The Vietnam Data Communications Company (VDC) signed a contract with the Enterprise of Telecommunications Laos (ETL) May 10 to provide internet solutions and upgrade Laosf high-speed Internet channel to 34 Mbps.
ETL will also likely join hands again with VDC in the future to research and develop new services like internet-based VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) and data transmissions.
VDC currently owns an international data transmission network reaching a maximum of 1,851 Mbps.
