LUANG Prabang Administration has set up 15 sub-committees to look into the celebration of the Lao Pimei (New Year), which will take place from 13 TO 15 this year.
The 15 working groups include sub-committee for contest organisation, fund raising, finance, public allocation, slogan, decoration, organising, sports and recreation, etc.
Some of the programmes planned include touring Tam Ting Cave and PakOu district, a trade fair to sell Luang Prabang’s traditional handicraft, a beauty contest and fashion show, stupa decoration contest on Moungkhoun beach, and a traditional art exhibition at Mai Temple.
